Developing websites in a hosted solution, such as a VPS server, can pose a significant challenge for developers attempting to create and regularly update a static web page. However, a recent Web Hosting Geeks report said content management systems can simplify the development problems and offer webmasters an expandable publishing solution.
According to the report, content management systems are easier to work with because content creators do not need to be familiar with HTML or other forms of website writing programming code. Furthermore, the CMS can be set to limit how much individuals can change the site without formal approval.
The report also said CMS can be used to create an easily expandable development solution. Because a CMS saves the records of what has been added to the site and organizes records in accessible formats, developers can easily expand the site without further complicating the posting process, the report said.
Drupal, one of the most popular content management systems currently available, was recently updated to version 7. Among its new features is a redesigned architecture that allows users to create larger, more complex websites.
