New Function Libraries Now on Tap from TotallySQL.com

June 9, 2011

in SQL Server

According to Managing Director of TotallySQL.com Charles Southey, database processing in an Microsoft SQL environment is far more efficient than simply storing data there. That’s something that the company has tried to address with the development of their new range of products for developers and data analysts as well as solution providers.

The idea behind these new functions is to further the range of native T-SQL functionality by adding new functions, types and aggregates that allow for processes to be carried out within the database layer itself. This allows for MS SQL users to get even more functionality from their servers while maximizing the efficiency of the engine itself.

CLR scripts produced by the company aim to give richer business and data processing logic to stored scripts on a database, while also keeping the original scripts clean and easily maintainable. TotallySQL.com seeks to add to the functionality of the MS SQL server package, rather than muddy it with advancements that leave it bogged down.

The scripts are apparently both fast and accurate and produce very little performance drop when they are compared to the native functions of the server. This means that the TotallySQL.com products have the potential to not only improve application performance, but reduce network load – all without compromising the basic performance of the server itself.

TotallySQL.com also offers fully-supported bespoke libraries made to order as well as services that are intended to assist companies in getting the most from their database capabilities and manage their environment in a way that is far more effective than with a standard Microsoft tool set.

While processing in databases has not yet reached a maximal level, TotallySQL.com aims to improve the overall efficiency of MS SQL with simple, effective and well-researched strings.
