One of Microsoft's partners in its new efforts to enhance Hyper-V deployments in virtual server hosting environments recently released a new architectural outline to help users create and secure reliable virtual machines.
According to the Manila Bulletin Publishing Corporation, the new blueprints give users step-by-step guidelines on how to develop virtual private servers and other virtual server environments using Microsoft Hyper-V in conjunction with Windows Server 2008.
"Customers need computing environments that can dynamically pool and allocate computer, network and storage resources so their core applications can be deployed quickly and scaled to meet spikes in demand as they occur," Dai Vu, director of solutions marketing in the Windows Server and Cloud division at Microsoft, told the news source.
Overall, the architectural guidelines focus on providing users with an infrastructure to quickly create and strategically maintain virtual server environments using Microsoft Hyper-V. Effectively virtualizing servers can allow a business to maximize its computing resources and efficiently store data.
The new scheme comes in response to Microsoft's efforts to develop Hyper-V as an ideal bridge to cloud computing. Earlier this month, the company announced a plan to partner with a number of organizations, from hardware manufacturers to software developers and hosting providers, to improve the deployment of Hyper-V and encourage cloud computing growth.
