Report: VPS is an economically viable solution for web developers

According to a recent report from Sliby, virtual private servers provide a quality, cost efficient solution for web developers who are unable to afford space on a dedicated server. Dedicated servers allow developers to host their website in an exclusive server space by a virtual server hosting company. This creates a secure, customizable and scalable hosting solution.

However, the report said dedicated solutions can become too costly for web developers with a limited budget, making VPS servers an ideal option. With a VPS solution, developers can enjoy the flexibility, scalability and security of a dedicated server while still sharing the space with other tenants, subsequently reducing costs.

In most cases, VPS servers use Windows or Linux-based virtualization tools, creating data redundancy through raid arrays, memory and CPU resources, the report said. This makes it easy to isolate upgrade plans and other operations despite working in a shared environment, the report said.

According to a recent report from the Web Hosting Geeks, VPS servers are also ideal for multiple domain hosting, as they allow a user to provision the entire physical server and divide it into a separate device for each hosted site.
