Reseller hosting is one of the growing trends in the virtual server hosting industry, as it allows a third-party entity to obtain a dedicated server from a hosting provider and resell the device in the format of its choice.
Purchasing and developing a reseller hosting plan, such as a reseller VPS, offers manifold benefits, the Host Review reports. Among those incentives include the ability to rent out superfluous server resources, garner support from the primary hosting provider, serving as an alternative to dedicated hosting and as an effort to develop one's own hosting service, according to the report.
In many cases, the report said, reseller hosting can be quite lucrative. By creating a reseller hosting account, an individual can establish a virtual server and rent resources to maximize profits. This is possible because most reseller hosting plans involve acquiring the initial device at a wholesale price, the report explained.
According to a recent report from the Web Hosting Geeks, a reseller hosting plan is capable of offering comparable resources to an enterprise class VPS server. While the VPS may be capable of slightly better performance, reliability and pricing, reseller hosting is so close in comparison that the difference is almost negligible, the report said.
