Viewing Group Policy Settings (GPO) for Windows Virtual Servers

You can view the Group Policy Objects (GPO) that are set for your Windows virtual server by following the instructions listed below.


  • Remote desktop into your server.


  • Once you're logged in press the START button and then click on RUN.

  • Next type "cmd" into the Run window and press the OK button

  • Next type the following command into the Command window. 
    gpresult /h C:\users\VPSxxxxAdmin\Documents\gpreport.html

  • The next step is to browse to the location that you saved the report to (EX: C:\users\VPSxxxxAdmin\Documents\) and then open the "gpreport.html" file. This will open in a web browser and display the current GPO settings for your server.
