Overview - Hyper-V Cloud Infrastructure

The Windows VPS environment is powered by Microsoft Hyper-V Virtualization with Microsoft System Center and NetAPP SAN Storage Backend.

Infrastructure currently supports the following Operating Systems:

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2012

Key Features Include:

NetApp Disk Arrays

This is what makes HA possible. All disk requests are handled by our backend NetApp disk array which is able to handle increased Disk I/O for customer Virtual Machines.

Dynamic Memory

Why does my VPS show less RAM than I purchased??

One update that may confuse existing users is the implementation of Dynamic Memory. Upon update of your Hyper-V VPS, your VM available RAM indicator will show only the highest value of RAM used since your last boot. Your purchased RAM is setup properly and if your Virtual Machine requires additional RAM, our system will provide it dynamically without user intervention! The indicator will actually show an increase as more RAM is accessed by your VM to a maximum of your purchased amount. For more details on Dynamic Memory, here is a link to the Microsoft KB on the topic: For further details please contact our support!
